Shenming Botanicals was created out of a desire to bring the wisdom of Chinese Herbal Medicine into modern botanical skincare, with intention, tradition, and authenticity.
My way of working comes naturally from my years in clinical practice and from my knowledge of Chinese Herbal Medicine. I choose each herb with intention, not simply because it is a beautiful botanical ingredient, but because of what it can bring to the formulation and how it works alongside the other plants.
I love the process of creating these preparations. Choosing the herbs, watching them slowly infuse, observing their colours and textures, and allowing time for the formulation to develop is still something very personal to me.
I want Shenming Botanicals to retain its connection with the wisdom of traditional herbal medicine while creating skincare that feels relevant, beautiful and easy to use today.
I am still personally involved in every formula I create, and I hope that care can be felt in every preparation.
